the direction were ok. overall it took me about 1 hour to figure out how to install both pieces. Because something wasn't quite like original, I ended up taking both pieces on and off about 3 times in the last 15 minutes. So I guess it took me about 1/2 hour to figure out how to install. the product fit like original.
